ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

In addition to my doctorate in Clinical Psychology, I also hold an MSc in Clinical Psychology from University College London, Diplomas in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Brief Strategic Cognitive Therapy from the Brief Strategic Therapy Foundation and a 1st class honors degree (BSc) from the University of Bath. I hold a postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, awarded by the Institute of Psychiatry, London.  I have attended numerous courses as part of my continuing professional development and have published a number of journal articles as part of my on going academic, research and clinical commitment to the field of clinical psychology.

As an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, an accredited cognitive behavioural psychotherapist with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP) and the United Kingdom Council for the Psychotherapies (UKCP) and a specialist member of the British Society of Clinical and Strategic Hypnosis Association, my practice is governed by a code of conduct and ethical responsibility. This means that I provide the best service that I am capable of providing and only work within the limits of my competencies.

I am registered with the British Psychological Society as a Chartered Clinical and Counselling Psychologist. When a psychologist is registered as a Chartered Psychologist members of the general public can be confident that he or she is properly qualified and experienced in the treatment of psychological problems. The title 'Chartered Psychologist' is protected by the privy council and is a guarantee that the person you are consulting is fully qualified.
